Flowstar Mission Statement:
Building community and spreading kindness and gratitude through the power of flow.
As an Admin/Coordinator for a FlowStar-sponsored city page or meetup group, you are a leader
within the community and an ambassador of the FlowStar values. The role requires
responsibility, communication, and dedication to maintaining a welcoming and inclusive space
for all members. Below are the guidelines and code of conduct that should guide your meetups
and actions.
1. Uphold FlowStar Mission and Values
- Promote Positivity: Lead by example. Your words and actions should reflect FlowStar’s
supportive and uplifting energy. Encourage growth, celebrate progress, and help
maintain spaces where people feel safe, inspired, and excited to flow.
- Respect Diversity: FlowStar welcomes people of all identities, abilities, backgrounds,
and experience levels. Treat everyone with respect, use inclusive language, and help
ensure that all members feel seen, valued, and safe in our community spaces.
- Foster Unity: Strengthen connection within your city page by encouraging collaboration,
kindness, and mutual support. Create opportunities for members to learn from one
another, build friendships, and contribute to a shared sense of community.
2. Admin and Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Lead by Example: Your actions set the tone for the group. Be respectful, inclusive, and
constructive in all interactions.
- Confidentiality: Any sensitive or private information shared within the group should
remain confidential. Admins are expected to respect the trust of the community
- Transparency: Keep communication clear, open, and transparent with all group
members. Be honest about decisions, group changes, and meet-up details.
- Be Approachable: Act as the first point of contact for members seeking information or
assistance. Respond to inquiries promptly and with a friendly attitude. Promote
conversations centered around connection and flow.
- Respect Boundaries: Be mindful of personal and group boundaries during meetups and
events. Be committed to ensuring that everyone feels comfortable and respected, both
physically and emotionally.
- Promote Growth: Encourage members to spread the word about the group and invite
others who align with the FlowStar mission. Foster a welcoming environment where all
new members feel valued.
- Active Engagement: Regularly engage with group members, share updates, and
encourage participation in discussions and events. Be intentional about community
building by getting to know each community member on a personal and friendly level.
- Time Commitment: Admin/coordinator roles require an ongoing commitment to
maintaining group activities. Ensure you are actively involved in event planning,
communication, and group maintenance.
- In the event a member of your admin/leadership team is unable to uphold these
commitments, communication is necessary so that the FlowStar Leadership team,
Regional Managers, and other community members may support the group.
3. Shared Leadership and Decision-Making
- Collaborative Leadership: Groups should have more than one leader. It is essential to
have multiple people involved in decision-making, admin duties, and planning to ensure
a well-rounded approach to leadership.
- Decision-Making: Encourage group members to have a say in important decisions, like
event planning and group initiatives. Collaborate with other admins and coordinators to
maintain a balanced leadership structure.
